A Foodie Love Story...
Frenican Bakes was born after many learned and aha moments and it truly is a labor of love! Our business is a collaboration between a Mrs. and Mr., her quest, and his valiant aid.
A first-generation Latina, born and raised in the beautiful, enchanted island of Puerto Rico and a natural home chef, having to reconstruct the way she treats because of a health diagnosis that now prompted her to try and avoid excess refined sugar and maintain a healthier diet.
Unfortunately, she could not find anything that fit her new diet especially when it came to desserts/sweets. So, she decided to create it! Her quest now was to be able to still enjoy her sweet indulgences but in a cleaner healthier way that did not compromise her health.
Being a first-generation Latina, she had “natural” early skills from her childhood days in the kitchen from her mothers and grandmothers’ teachings. Add cups full of research, sprinkle in
a close partnership with a classically creative trained French chef, spoonsful of learned lessons in between and she was finally able to get the Delicious and Guilt Free recipes that she felt worked and tasted amazing. With the feeling of her Faith within her, she took a leap of Faith and Frenican Bakes was created.
Her goal is to provide a healthier yet satisfying premium Bakery without excluding those with dietary preferences, whether by personal choice or health requirements. Providing an equal sweet indulgence for all to enjoy. Her mission has evolved into not only providing Organic and Sugar Free Bakes but in raising awareness in helping to educate about the effects of excess refined sugar consumption and to familiarize the community and anyone willing to listen that healthy choices do exist and are possible for our sweet tooth cravings without compromising taste and Frenican Bakes is happy to be that place.
